Scholarships University of Confederation Swiss students and foreign artists for the academic year 2011-2012.

1. Scope of awards: University Scholarships: The university scholarships are for students from all countries on the list. These scholarships are only valid for 10 Swiss universities and two Federal Institutes .
   
   
   
2. • Eligibility The successful candidate must possess a basic university education (Bachelor / Master) at the beginning of the award.
   • The successful candidate must prove his academic abilities and goals of training.
   • It is essential to make contact with the prospective host institution and / or the professor who will supervise the research stay. To be registered University or High School approached, it may be that the student must meet additional requirements or provide additional documents.
   • Candidates must not have more than 35 years (1.1.1976 and younger).
   • Applicants must have a sufficient command of language teaching French, German, Italian or English, to enjoy their studies in Switzerland.
   • Candidates who are already conducting a first year Master's in one of the Swiss Universities or Universities are not eligible for a grant from the Swiss Confederation (except for arts students who should not be in Switzerland for over a year) . The Swiss embassy will not take into account these issues.
   • Scholarships of the Swiss Confederation can not be combined with other scholarships.
     
3. Duration and amount of the scholarship The scholarship is for one academic year of nine months. Scholarships for postgraduate courses or Masters which last up to 2 years (3 or 4 semesters) may be extended subject to the results of the first year.
   The monthly stipend is:
   

   CHF 1920 .-	per month for students who have graduated from university final
   CHF 1920 .-	per month for students artistic

   The Federal Commission for Scholarships does not support the finances of current and / or semester fees. In principle, universities and the ETH Zürich exempt the stock of federal taxes semester (~ CHF 600 per semester) but no systematic registration fees Masters programs. 4. Award Scholarship Awards are offered in principle to foreign governments. Applications are subject to a preliminary selection of appropriate national authorities and / or the Swiss embassy. The Swiss embassy forwards selected applications to the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), which makes the final selection. The FCS consists of Swiss universities. She decides to award scholarships based on criteria of academic and scientific excellence.
