Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people around the world to improve their economic situation, the sustainable management of natural resources and protect the environment.
Program AWLA (African Women Leaders in Agriculture and Environment) is part of the Leadership Training Unit of Winrock). AWLA was established in 1989 by a group of pioneering women from six countries. Over ten years later, the program has expanded to the entire African continent.
