THEMATIC WORKSHOP REFLECTION GROUP ON TRADE, REGIONAL INTEGRATION AND PROTECTION OF CONSUMERS '/ PLATFORM OF ACTORS NON-STATE (NSA)
Theme "Promoting the protection of consumers through the business strategies and regional integration"
Dakar, Senegal from 13 to 14 December 2010
National Council of Consumer Associations (CONAC)
Produced with the support of the Draft Capacity Building for Good Governance (PRECAPBG) / UNDP
PLATFORM NON-STATE ACTORS to track the Cotonou Agreement in Senegal
I) My first contribution, as an Expert of the HOUSE OF CRAFTS , was to highlight the important role of the Association for the Advancement of artificers and (APRAO) in the processing industry and catering. For communication of Management Representative on Internal Trade "mechanisms of control and regulation of the domestic market", I pleaded for extension of the institutional regulatory, legal and judicial. It was also essential to educate the consumer.
II) My second contribution, following the presentation of the Senegalese Association for Standardization (ASN) and the Directorate of Enforcement and the Consumer Safety (DCSC / DI / MC), argued in favor of " development of national standards for the State "and approval, including international standards on products such as bisphenol A and cyanide. The financial losses in the export of mangoes to the European Union are being hit hard by the whitefly. And ultimately, with the exponential growth of diabetes and CVD / stroke, organ market knows a rise in demand which deserves ethical and legal health.
III) My third contribution, following the disclosure of the Representation of the Ministry of Commerce on "trade policies in the WAEMU and ECOWAS," I Advance highlighted the governance and regional financial market (Acts CENTIF WAEMU), the TPE / GIM WAEMU since 2003 to 2004 that NSAs do almost none. In terms of Public Private Partnerships (PPP), it would be important to involve NSAs in the comments and advice infrastructure. Even with the PARMEC / UEMOA, the NSA regularly use at the ECOWAS monetary funding and non-institutional channels. And ultimately, Community law has not yet solved the problem of systems LMD / WAEMU / ECOWAS and the exchange of officials.
