Scholarships

The duties of the Secretary of State for Education and research on renewable scholarships are as follows.
one hand, he manages the federal contribution to the charges cantons for scholarships for Swiss students.
On the other hand, it ensures coordination and Federal funding for the program scholarships for students and artists foreigners wishing to continue their studies at a university or conservatory in Switzerland.
It manages scholarships for European University Institute in Florence and College of Europe in Bruges and Natolin (postgraduate studies).
Finally, it provides the secretariat Achilles Isella Fund which provides scholarships for Swiss students enrolled at a Swiss university.
Granting a training aid (scholarships or loans) for Swiss students (domestic, foreign institutions and persons with refugee status) is within the townships. Each canton determines under its own legislation, the conditions of a grant or a loan for studies in Switzerland or abroad.
