Sonatrach opens office in Mali

Sonatrach International Petroleum & Production (Sipex), the subsidiary of the national petroleum company, has officially opened yesterday at the opening Bamako its headquarters in Mali Mali allow Sipex Branch to commence its activities.
Remember that Sipex signed in February last a concession agreement on block 20 Basin Taoudenni Mali for research and exploitation of hydrocarbons. The block in question (number 20), with a total area of approximately 118 000 km2, is located in the basin Taoudenni, adjoining the border with Algeria which already operates Sonatrach, the Algerian territory, with a contract for exploration on the perimeter of Chenachen. This new acquisition was added to the participation (Up to 25%) of Sipex, exploration and exploitation of Malian blocks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9, with the companies ENI (Italy) and Baraka (Mali). Elwatan
